Gear West Recommends

The Nordica Speedmachine J1 (Girl) is designed to help young skiers build confidence and develop their skills from their very first days on the mountain. Its supportive construction encourages a balanced, neutral stance, giving kids better control and stability as they learn to make turns and explore the slopes.

The three-piece design makes the boot easy for parents and kids to get on and off, while the warm, comfortable liner keeps little feet cozy throughout the day. With a forgiving 25 flex and junior-specific fit, the Speedmachine J1 is an approachable boot built to make learning fun and help young skiers fall in love with the sport.

Best For: Junior / Beginner
Ability: Beginner
Flex: 25
Volume: Junior
Weight: 680g per half pair
Size Range: 14.5–19.5
