Women’s running shoes are designed to protect feet, provide comfort, and flexibility. There are three main types of running shoes neutral, stability, and trail/winter.
Neutral women’s running shoes a built for people who have a natural running pattern. What this means is that when walking/running the foot rolls from inward from lading on the outer edge. This movement is known as pronate. Pronating begins to happen when your heel makes contact with ground, the moment from contact to lift off; for it to be a neutral pronate the angle at which pronating happens should remain around 15 degrees. Neutral women’s running shoes are pressure molded.
Stability women’s running shoes are designed for people who either over or underpronate. The structure of a stability shoe is to counter pronating and provide extra support around the medial side of your foot while still providing cushion. Those who have low arches and walk on the inside of feet will need a stability shoe.
Finally trail and winter women’s running shoes are built to tackle tough terrain. Trail shoes are have a rugged outsole and the top of the shoes is more durable than a typical running shoe. Winter shoes are built very similar to the trail shoe but in addition to everything they have a Gore-Tex membrane which create a water proof barrier.
