The Gear Western Country Half Marathon and Borton Volvo 5k is a small town event with a big time feel. Our course offers you a taste of Minnesota in the fall; quiet country roads, rolling hills, lakes, autumn colors and crushed limestone trails.

After crossing the finish line, stick around for a Western-themed celebration. Enjoy lively music, warm post-race refreshments, and a spirited awards ceremony to honor every participant. It’s a chance to relax, cheer each other on, and soak in the festive atmosphere.

Your registration includes a commemorative finisher campfire mug; perfect for filling with something cozy. And don’t miss out on the iconic crew neck sweatshirt, available for purchase—blending comfort and frontier style.

Gear Western is built for families and friends alike. Choose from the long or short course, and feel free to bring along dogs on a leash or strollers. Stay warm inside the store before the race, and maybe treat yourself to a fresh pair of shoes afterward!
