Wax Recommendations - City of Lakes Loppet

We have been busy testing the new fluor-free waxes this early winter, if you are looking for a recommendation for this weekend’s races, see below. We have tested waxes from Swix, Rex, Vauhti, Rode, and Start, among others, below are some recommendations that will make your skis fast in these fluor-free times.

Weather-

Friday - A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 10. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around -4. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southeast after midnight.

Saturday - Partly sunny, with a high near 32. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8. West southwest wind around 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

Sunday - Mostly sunny, with a steady temperature around 11. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
