Attention to detail has defined Madshus skis for over 100 years. The ambition was born in 1906 in a barn belonging to Martin Madshus’ father. Crafting his first wooden skis with hand-made tools, Martin’s keen eye for materials meant the wood used for each ski was carefully inspected. The wood that passed inspection was emblazoned with the now famous M brand.
The make-up and variation within the raw goods has changed dramatically from the original wood trunks to today’s highly-controlled and stable materials, but Martin’s careful attention to detail remains Madshus’ hallmark and is evident in every ski, boot, and pole they produce.
