Traditional Grinds

COLD

low to mid
Structure:
minimal grind depth and tight linear pattern for cold and/or sharp snow crystals as well as "east slope" conditions
This is a necessary grind when the temperature falls out. If you race in the Midwest and only have two pairs of race skis make sure you have a cold grind on at least one pair. This grind is very fast in colder and dryer conditions.

The Uni-3 is a standard grind for mid-winter conditions. Performs well in colder conditions but can handle higher levels of moisture as temperatures warm. The Uni-3 works very well on groomed and re-groomed snow. If you only have one pair of skis the Uni-3 or the Viper grind are recommended.
