The new Asics GEL-DS Trainer 16 will continue to meet the needs of runners looking for a supportive, yet lightweight trainer. This updated model adds ASICS Guidance Line, which helps the foot maintain an efficient path through the gait cycle. The upper features our proprietary Clutch Collar System for a comfortable and secure rearfoot fit.

Asics Gel DS 16 Trainer Features:

Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.)
ASICS Design Philosophy. Employs linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.

Clutch Collar System
A descendant of the Heel Clutching System, an Endoskelatal collar compliments the exoskelatal heel counter for a uniquely secure fit.

Guidance Line
Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.

Propulsion Trusstic
Mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as foot enters propulsion stage.

Space Trusstic System
This midfoot stabilizer creates a pocket between the Trusstic System device and the midsole, allowing for controlled midsole deformation and more efficient foot function.

Biomorphic Fit Upper
Stretch material strategically placed on the upper helps to reduce buckling and the potential for irritation.

Asymmetrical Lacing Design
An anatomically correct lacing environment that reduces potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit.

Dual Density Solyte Lasting
Employs different densities of Solyte lasting material in heel and forefoot for improved comfort.
